Built to Last. Backed for 10 Years.
If your Hywell socks wear out, tear, or fail within ten years, we’ll replace them—no questions asked.
Our socks feature a 2mm layer of high-density terry loops at the sole. These tightly packed yarn loops create a thick, flexible cushion under your feet. As you walk or stand for long hours, the loops compress and spring back to absorb ground impact and reduce foot fatigue.
Our socks feature extra padding in the key areas where boots tend to rub — the heel, ankle, instep, and lower calf. These spots often create friction inside the boot, which can lead to blisters or irritation after long hours of wear.
The added padding forms a soft layer between your skin and the boot, reducing rubbing and pressure so your feet stay comfortable all day.
No one likes socks that slide down halfway through the day. Ours are made with 9% spandex for just the right amount of stretch — firm enough to stay up, gentle enough not to squeeze.
Whether you’re wearing 6-inch work boots or 12-inch high boots, they stay comfortably in place from morning till night.
Wool helps manage moisture, but if your boots don’t breathe, heat and humidity can still build up—especially with thick cushioning. The fastest fix during long shifts is rotating into a dry pair.

Yes—Hywell merino wool socks are built for long hours in boots. The cushioned footbed helps absorb impact and reduce pressure during all-day standing and walking. For the best comfort and warmth, make sure your boots aren’t tight.
In general, a higher cuff stays in place better during long shifts. However, slippage can still depend on calf shape, boot lining friction, and sizing.
For the best hold, make sure the heel pocket is seated correctly, pull the sock up fully, and smooth out any bunching. If you’re between sizes, choosing the smaller size usually improves grip and helps prevent sliding down.
Yes. We added targeted cushioning across the instep and a seamless toe construction to reduce pressure and rubbing inside steel-toe boots for a more comfortable fit.
They’re designed to help. We use high-terry cushioning in common hot-spot areas—around the heel, ankle, and instep—to reduce rubbing during long workdays.
Yes—merino wool generally feels warmer than cotton and helps manage moisture in work boots. Warmth is a system though: boot insulation, boot tightness, activity level, and circulation all matter. If your boots are snug (especially steel-toe), toe pressure can reduce circulation and make toes feel colder.
For outdoor work below 0°C / 32°F with long periods standing still, pair with insulated boots that have enough toe room, and rotate into a dry pair if needed.
Most people find fine merino comfortable, but skin sensitivity varies. If you’re prone to itch or irritation, wash once before first wear with a mild detergent. If discomfort occurs, stop wearing immediately.
